Hazel M. Kistler

kistlerHazel M. Kistler, 95, of Logansport passed away peacefully at 6:25 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her residence.

Born on September 6, 1919 in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Leazenby) Dempsey. On December 14, 1946 she married Leslie J. Kistler.

She was a 1940 Royal Center High School graduate.

Hazel retired from the H.W. Gossard in Logansport as a seamstress. She was a member of Crooked Creek Christian Church and she enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie Kistler of Logansport, sisters in law, Doris Kistler of Royal Center and Joan Kistler of Warren. She also is survived nieces, Carolyn Ann Lashbrook of Peru, Deb Coppernoll (David) of Logansport, Janet Goltry (Greg) of Royal Center, nephews, Michael Kistler (Cheryl) of Royal Center, Jay Kistler (Sandy) of Flora and Dr. Steve Kistler (Cindy) of Noblesville, and great nieces and nephews, Nathan Kistler of Indianapolis, Kristi Coppernoll of Logansport, Samantha Coppernoll of Walton, Melissa Ayres of Flora, Kayla Tinsman of Flora, Emily Beaver of Loganswww.ransfuneralhomes.com.port, Sarah Franklin of Royal Center, Austin Goltry of Noblesville, Matt Kistler of Noblesville, Jason Kistler of Miami, Florida and Jeff Kistler of Indianapolis.

She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 sister, brother’s in law, Robert Kistler and Jerry Kistler and sister in law, Virginia Kistler.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center with Pastor Larry Phillips officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crooked Creek Christian Church.
