Betty Jane Lowry

lowryBetty Jane Lowry, formerly of Walton, passed away at 10:16 a.m., on Friday, April 24, 2015, in Community Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.

Born in Cass County on August 15, 1923, she was the daughter of James E. and Clara E. Webb Bryant.

On May 13, 1942, she was married to Hobert W. Lowry, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 3, 2001.

A homemaker, Betty was a 1941 graduate of Onward High School.

She was a member of Walton Christian Church, where she was baptized on March 31, 1946.  She enjoyed volunteering at the church, especially helping with the newsletter.  Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, whose family was most important to her.

Surviving are sons, Larry (Claudia) Lowry, Logansport, and Hobert (Drevvi) Lowry, Jr., Noblesville; grandchildren, Bryce (Vanessa) Lowry, Trent Lowry, Ryan (Alisonn) Lowry, Lori (Brandon) Davis, and Kara (Tim) Keppel; great grandchildren, Kassidy Lowry, Kyleigh Lowry, Alexander Lowry, Quinn Lowry, Avery Lowry, Lena Lowry, Riley Keppel, Carter Davis, Corbin Jave, and Trish (Joe) Gray; and great-great granddaughter, Lillie Ann Gray.

Betty was preceded in death by granddaughter, Alycia Lowry; great grandson, Holden Davis, and siblings, Elmer Bryant, Opal Helvie, Bernice Helvie, and Harold Bryant.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in the Walton Christian Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, with the service immediately following at the church, with Brother Bill Collins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Walton IOOF Cemetery.
