On May 12, local businessman Milt Cole, The Cole Family Enterprise, will be honored as a 2015 inductee into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. He will join other business leaders who have been inducted since the Hall of Fame was established in 1984.
Milt Cole and his wife purchased Cole Hardwood in 1986, with a 225,000 kiln capacity and 80,000 square feet storage space. After a devastating fire in 1998, he rebuilt the facility and employees never went without a paycheck. Today, Cole Hardwood is one of the nation’s leading hardwood suppliers and also serves international customers. Cole is active in the community, supporting many organizations. Cole will be recognized during the Business and Education Leadership (BEL) awards ceremony on May 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m., at the Mirro Center, Fort Wayne.
