United Way of Cass County (UWCC) announced today that Chris Armstrong has joined the organization to grow the resource development, to build and maintain relationships, and to bring broad understanding of the United Way to the community. Chris Armstrong comes with a wealth of experience within the nonprofit sector and community development, having spent the last four years as the city’s community development director and seven years as the executive director for Big Brothers Big Sisters where Chris was instrumental in increasing funds, numbers of children served, and marketing and public relations. Along with numerous community services, Chris has been a key volunteer for the United Way campaign for many years, and past board president for the Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce, Noon Kiwanis, and Tourism.

Joining United Way in advance of the development and launch of the 2016 campaign, Chris can continue her success. And, Chris joins United Way as Director of Donor Relations and Resource Development to continue UWCC’s success in engaging the Cass County community in being, and living, united. Chris comments, “I am excited to start a new year with the United Way of Cass County and look forward to working with the staff, board, and volunteers to further develop their already extensive community work. I am fortunate to be joining such a respected organization that works hard to reach lofty goals and help people to reach their aspirations.”

Joyce Mayhill, executive director says, “Chris’s wealth of community experience and nonprofit knowledge in Cass County has already made her a key addition to the United Way family. We view her hire as a sign of our commitment to serving our residents.”
