Haley Marie Begley

Haley Marie Begley, 17, Logansport, passed away at 4:42 a.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018, in the St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo following injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident in Howard County.

She was born February 18, 2001, in Logansport, to Jamie Begley and Clairlene “Carrie” (Kibble) Cassidy.

A senior at Lewis Cass High School, Haley was planning to enlist in the United States Air Force following graduation in 2019. She was a member of the Lewis Cass Girls Cross Country, Basketball and Softball teams. Haley was active in FFA, SADD and the Art Club at Lewis Cass.

Haley loved the Lord and her life was evident of her deep faith. She was a member of the Logansport Church of the Brethren and was active in the church’s youth group. She had participated in several mission trips.

Haley loved to travel. She enjoyed being outdoors whether it was fishing, hiking or just target shooting. Her family and friends meant the world to her. She was a bright ray of sunshine in so many people’s lives with her beautiful smile, that gorgeous head of red curls and a heart of pure gold. Her legacy will live on with her gift of life as an organ donor.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Carrie and Thomas Cassidy; her father, Jamie Begley; brother, Codey Begley; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Kibble; friend, Jerry Brownfield; paternal grandmother, Janet Begley; aunts and uncles, Michael (Amy) Begley, Richard Cowser, Robert (Meghan) Cowser, James Kibble, Jr., Angie (Scott) Alpha, Joy (Gene) Augeson, and Angelina Jefferies; cousins, Grace, Ilene, Royce, Henry, Lydia, Rylee, Kelsee, Nathan (Briana), Cameron and Mea and many, many friends.

Haley was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Begley and James Kibble, Sr.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Haley’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 23 and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral chapel.

Suggested contributions may be made to a memorial fund that has been established by her family at Salin Bank as a way to honor Haley’s life and give back to the community she loved so dearly.
