Happy New Year! Our resolution is to get back on schedule with publishing our weekday update.

So,without further delay, here are five things we thought you might want to know, and five upcoming events!

????️ TRASH PICKUP BEHIND THIS WEEK: Trash pickup for City of Logansport residents will be one day behind the rest of this week, with a Saturday pickup.

???? BACK TO SCHOOL: Some Cass County students head back to school this week! The first day of the semester for Logansport students is Thursday, Jan. 3. Lewis Cass students head back on Friday, Jan. 4. Students at Pioneer and Caston return on Monday, Jan. 7.

???? CASS TRANSIT & SENIOR CENTER CLOSED: Cass Transit and the Cass County Senior Center have been closed since Sunday, Dec. 30 due to water damage from the building’s sprinkler system.

Plans call for Cass Transit to re-open Friday, Jan. 4 at 6 a.m. The city bus will run Saturday, as well.

The actual Cass Transit facility and the senior center will be closed until Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. Share

???? DROP OFF YOUR OLD ELECTRONICS: The Cass County Recycling District will be accepting drop-offs of electronics for recycling from 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 and Friday, Jan. 4. The Recycling District is located at 518 High St. in downtown Logansport. Find more about the electronics recycling program here.

???? GET READY TO GO BACK: Ivy Tech Community College’s Kokomo and Logansport campuses are participating in statewide Express Enrollment Week Jan. 2 through 5 to help students complete important admissions and enrollment steps to be ready when spring semester classes begin on Jan. 14.
