Rosella “Rosie” N. Ness, 76, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.
Born on May 5, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota, she is the daughter to the late Gordon and Marguerite (Haney) LaValla. On February 24, 1959 in Mason City, Iowa she married Allen G. Hosler who preceded in death on November 2, 1979. Then, in October of 1980 in Logansport, she married Roger L. Ness who preceded in death January 30, 1995.
Rosie was the former owner and operator of the Tap Tavern and also the Old Style Inn. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rosie enjoyed going to the Casino’s with her daughters.
Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Kay Costello and Teresa J. Hosler both of Logansport, IN, Karen M. (Brad) Kelley of Twelve Mile, IN; four sisters, Renee DeFlorin, Shelly (Dick) Hammons, Bebe (Terry) McTeague all of MN, Becky (Dave) Adsit of Royal Center, IN; three granddaughters, Shae (Jeremy) Lantz, Jadyn See, Kassie See all of Logansport, IN; three grandsons, Jerrit (Kayla) Costello, Corey Costello, both of Logansport, IN; Jake (Joey) Hosler of Lafayette, IN; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger A. Hosler, two brothers, Roger LaValla, Bobby LaValla, and a great-granddaughter, Nora Kay Costello.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, also at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.
