Special Olympics held a special place in his heart.  All participants were like children of his own.  He was a former coordinator and coach of many events at home and on the road.  A volunteer at heart, Danny loved people and would help and assist anyone with anything they needed.

He loved family time, camping along the Wabash River, and especially playing ball with his great granddaughter, Amryn.

Danny was a known, and constant, jokester who was fun to be around.  There was never a dull moment when he was present.

He enjoyed playing the harmonica and banjo.  Although he could play nearly all instruments, he particularly enjoyed his guitar.  He loved all kinds of music and could sing most of the tunes he played.

He formed the Woodlawn Center “Jammin’ for Joy” band which included many members with special needs.  He made everyone in the band feel like a rock star.
