Spring cleaning encouraged city-wide in Logansport

Last Updated on April 18, 2019 by cassnetwork

Everyone is encouraged to help Logansport look its best by taking part in a City-Wide Spring Cleanup.

Logan’s Landing will host the annual Downtown Green and Clean Day on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to noon.

After that, everyone is encouraged to do some outdoor spring cleaning at their own home or business. Suggestions include sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, raking leaves, picking up sticks and checking to make sure that your storm drain is not clogged with leaves or debris.

For trash that won’t fit in your trash tote, stickers can be purchased for $1 each at D&R Fruit Market, McCord’s, Martin’s Supermarket, Schwering Realty and Tienda La Bendicion. A sticker should be placed on each item that will not fit in the trash tote.

Leaves and yard waste should be placed in biodegradable brown paper lawn bags and placed near your trash can. (The leaf vac does not run until fall).

Brush piles are picked up every other week by the Logansport Street Department. Limbs should be stacked neatly with the cut end facing out and placed curbside or along the alley.

Sand and dirt from sidewalks and crosswalks can be swept into the street to be picked up by the street sweeper. DO NOT blow grass clippings into the street.

Let’s all work together to help Logansport look its best! #LogansportReImagined
