A long-time Logansport businessman is recognized this week with a special city honor.
Mike Dingo, the second generation to manage Bruno’s, a Logansport institution in the pizza business, has been named Citizen of the Week by Mayor Dave Kitchell.
“Mike is a testament to independent business owners who have made a career out of customer service and staying true to their brand,” Kitchell said. “Bruno’s has been named the People’s Choice many times because it has maintained a local tradition that’s revered and appreciated by the public as a product unique unto itself.”
Like many local businesses, Bruno’s served as a sponsor for various community organizations.
The Citizen of the Week program is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and is presented to current or former residents who contribute to the community. Mike will receive a certificate from the Mayor’s Office and a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
