The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department is inviting Non-Profit Organizations to participate in the 2019 Christmas In the Park at Spencer Park. Christmas In the Park opens on Friday, November 29, 2019 and closes on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Non-Profit nights will be Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A minimum of 6 volunteers for a shift will be required. A supply of safety vests, flashlights, and walkie-talkies will be provided.

An application needs to be completed which will include organizational documents.

The following changes have been made for the 2019 program:

• We will no longer charge each vehicle to enter the drive-thru display. Instead, visitors may offer a “free-will donation.” This will not only keep the program open to all families that wish to view it, but it will also give visitors the chance to put their own value to the display through their own donations.Non-profits may wish to provide a thank you token for those who donate.

• Sunday nights will be a walk-thru night, which will also provide non-profits an opportunity to sell hot drinks or snacks, or to createa photo boothwith Santa.Other ideas will be considered for this special night.

• Non-profits must share 10% of their income with Christmas In the Park to help defray the expenses of the program.

• Participation in previous Christmas In the Park Programs does not guarantee a spot for 2019.Organizations will be scheduled on a first come-first serve basis.

Applications and/or questions can be directed to the Parks Administrator, Janet Fawley at 574-753-6969 or e-mail at parksadministrator@cityoflogansport.org.
