Donald E. Fisher, Jr., AKA, Fisher, 66, of Winamac passed away at 10:24 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.

Born on June 23, 1953 in Winamac, he was the son of the late Donald E. and Olive R. (Shidler) Fisher.

He was a 1971 Winamac High School graduate.

Don formerly owned and operated Fisher Soft Water Service with his father in Star City.

Don loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and collector of arrowheads and other artifacts. He loved animals and especially enjoyed raising and riding horses. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, riding his Harley and walking with his dog, Raider.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Asel Fisher of Winamac, son, Lance Fisher of Logansport, daughters, Tiffany Nortley (Scott) of Adrian, Michigan, Danielle Crissinger (Randy) of Winamac and Kelsey Asel (Steve) of Winamac, brother, Jerry Mays (Peggy) of Winamac, sisters, Pamela S. Olson (Swede) of Valparaiso and Jane A. Scheffer of Winamac, grandchildren, Ashley Elliott, Dennis Fisher, Brayden Mathias, Kylie Fisher, Colton Nortley and Harper Nortley and 3 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Jean Fox and one brother, Corkey Mays.

Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center with Pastor Mark Fakih officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pulaski Animal Center and/or the Starke County Humane Society.
