Donald L. Beattie

Donald L. Beattie, 69 of Burnettsville, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello, IN.

Born on July 22, 1950 in Winamac, he is the son to the late Charles and Vivian (Zeek) Beattie.  On May 25, 2018 in Logansport, he married Deborah Enyart who survives.

Don worked as a welder for Bryan Steam in Peru. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bonfires, and drag racing.  Don loved to watch westerns and spending time with his family.

Surviving along with his wife Deborah, is a daughter, Wende (Ralph) Sheets, Peru; son, Tommie (Lori) Beattie, Peru; step daughter, Shannon (Bryan) Lowry, Lafayette; step son, John O’Connor, Royal Center; grandchildren, Shelbee (Nick) Sheridan, Ft. Bragg, NC; Tayler Hutchins, Peru; Bailee Beattie, Peru and Karsynn Beattie, Peru; great grandchildren, Aydenn, Alex, Zaiden, Zoiee and Delyla; sister, Darlene Martin, Fulton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his K9 companion, Max.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020, also at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.
