John E. Campbell

John E. Campbell, 84 of Logansport, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Franciscan Health East Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on February 23, 1935 in Logansport, he is the son to the late Charles Richard and Jeannette (Fickle) Campbell.  On May 10, 1958 in Lafayette, Georgia, he married Margaret A. Browning who survives.

John worked at DELCO Electronics for 44 years. He is a 1955 graduate of Burnettsville High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. John is a member of New Life Alliance Church and Local Union #292, where he was very active in the Kokomo Area. He served on the shop committee and as a benefit representative. He was a former member of Elks Lodge #66 and a past President of the Pioneer School Board. In his spare time, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family..

Surviving along with his wife Margaret, is a son, Brian (Deanna) Campbell, Logansport; Patty (Dave) Hartkemeyer, Walkerton, IN; three granddaughters, Nicole (Cyril) Duffala, Dayton, OH; Angela (Andy) Ringwelski, Richmond, KY; Jordyn Campbell, Logansport; great grandson, Nolan Duffala; brother,Thomas Wayne (Rhonda) Campbell, Westville, IN; aunt, Therese Cunningham, Logansport; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Milton “Mike” Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Scott Halterman officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
