‘For King & Country’ to make Wabash debut on July 4

WABASH, Ind.—For KING & COUNTRY will be the first national-touring act to perform at the 13-24 Drive In, operated by The Honeywell Foundation on Saturday, July 4 at 4 and 8 p.m. These performances will be the inaugural events to for KING & COUNTRY’s U.S. touring season in 2020. 

At a time when society is facing immense challenges and adversity, The Honeywell Foundation is excited to bring community members together for a message of unity and hope on the most fitting day in America: Independence Day.

“We are truly excited to have for KING & COUNTRY in Wabash to celebrate Independence Day. People have been patiently waiting for entertainment venues to reopen, and we  are happy to be able to provide this socially-distanced concert experience,” Tod Minnich, President/CEO of The Honeywell Foundation said.

The GRAMMY-winning pop Christian duo will present a concert that follows their hugely successful global 2019 tour. For KING & COUNTRY will bring theatrics and inspiration for two performances at the 13-24 Drive In in a nostalgic summer atmosphere.

Amid COVID-19 quarantine, for KING  & COUNTRY joined Kirk Franklin and Tori Kelly to release their new single “TOGETHER” on May 1, debuting the song on ABC’s Good Morning America. The official music video for “TOGETHER” features faces from around the world affected by the ongoing pandemic in a new age of social distancing. The video was shot from each of the artists’ homes in front of a black curtain.

The duo’s 2018 album “Burn The Ships,” featured multi-week No. 1 singles “joy.,” “God Only Knows,” and “Burn the Ships.” Worldwide icon Dolly Parton collaborated with for KING & COUNTRY for their 2020 GRAMMY award-winning version of “God Only Knows.” They also took home the GRAMMY for Best Contemporary Christian album for Burn the Ships.

WHEN:          Saturday, July 4 at 4 p.m. EST; Gates will open at approximately 2 p.m. EST*

*This performance will take place rain or shine unless there is a case of inclement weather.

Tickets to for KING & COUTNRY will be sold on a per-vehicle basis, allowing up to six guests per vehicle. Vehicles with more than 6 guests will be escorted out of the lot. Tickets reserve one parking spot in a specific row(s). Parking spots will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Thursday, June 18 at 10 a.m. EST. Ticket prices include $50, $100, $140, $160, $180, and $200. Tickets can be purchased online at 1324DriveIn.com/for-king-and-country or by calling The Honeywell Foundation box office at 260.563.1102.

To maintain the health and safety of our staff and guests, the Drive In will host vehicles at 50 percent capacity abiding by social distancing measures. Guests will be asked to park in the middle of two poles to allow more than six feet between guests. All Honeywell Foundation staff will be required to wear personal protective equipment. Restrooms will be closed down periodically for staff to clean and sanitize. The concession stand will be open for in-person, minimal contact ordering and properly marked for staff and guests to abide by social distancing.
