Deputy Mayor Stacy Cox submitted her letter of resignation to Mayor Chris Martin with the desire to pursue interests outside of politics and government. Stacy served as Clerk-Treasurer of the city from 2016 – 2019, and has spent close to a year in the number two spot of city leadership in the Martin Administration which took office January 1, 2020.

“You have put together a tremendous team of talented individuals,” Stacy writes, “and I am honored to say I was a part of such a progressive group focused on a positive future for Logansport.

“I have also enjoyed hearing about your goals and ideas for Logansport. I have been privileged to be a part of many of them already and I have no doubt you will accomplish great things in your time serving Logansport.”

“As you know, I have big career aspirations outside of politics and I am ready to pursue those opportunities. You have been an inspirational leader and I will miss being a part of this administration. I wish you nothing but the best and I know you will continue to do great things for the city of Logansport and our future.”

In coordination with Stacy, and after consultation with a few experienced former and current city leaders, Mayor Martin has chosen Jacob Pomasl to take her place. Pomasl has built a positive working relationship with Mayor Martin in his capacity working for United States Senator Mike Braun.
