Phillip M. Alter Sr., age 82 of Macy, IN passed away Friday August 21, 2020.
Born August 4, 1938 in Forest, IN to the late Ray Alter and Iretha (Melling) Copeland.
Phil retired from Chrysler in 2000 and was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed his retirement days at his lake cottage at Nyona Lake.
Surviving are two sons, Phillip M. (Serenity) Alter Jr., Logansport; Adam Alter, Kokomo; two brothers, Charlie (Peggy) Alter, Kokomo; Mike Alter; one sister, Joyce (Larry) Huffer, Peru; one grandson, Christian Alter; great granddaughter, Sophia Rose Alter; and his companion, Margaret Butler.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Joe Alter.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday August 25, 2020 at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery, Kokomo, IN.
