Phyllis Glassburn

Phyllis Glassburn, 82, of Walton, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 5, 2020.

Born on July 2, 1938, in Kokomo, she is the daughter to the late Helen (Polk) Bowyer and along with her mother, was raised by Sherman Bowyer.  On August 8, 1957 in the McNeely Church near Lewisburg, she married her husband of 63 years, Thomas R. Glassburn who survives.

Phyllis was a homemaker and past Township Trustee. She was a member of the Miami Baptist Church. Phyllis loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving, along with her husband Tom, is a daughter, Cathy (David) LeDonne; grandchildren, Christina Truax, Matthew (Anh) Glassburn, Bradley LeDonne, Thomas (Megan) Glassburn, Andrew (Allison) Glassburn, Hannah (Casey) Franklin; great grandchildren, Brian LeDonne, Peyton, Easton, Elizabeth and Rylie Glassburn; sisters, Phyl (Glenn) Wilson; Dana (Tony) Rose; Jennifer Vestal; Ellen (Mike) Tocco; Debbie Durham; brothers, Mike (Sharan) Allee; John (Lou Ann) Neblitt; Lee (Marsha) Thomas and Sherman Bowyer.

She was preceded in death by a son, Todd Glassburn; two brothers, Mike Wallace and Wayne Richeson; and a sister, Linda MacDonald.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Daisok Panmei officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Miami Baptist Church.
