Civic Players announces auditions for “Chicago”
Auditions have been set for Civic Players of Logansport’s spring musical, “Chicago.” Set in 1920’s Chicago, the show tells the story of murderesses Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, who find themselves on death row together and fight for the fame that will keep them from the gallows.
Auditions will be conducted at the Civic Players building at 1115 Erie Avenue in Logansport on February 20-21-22. Friday and Saturday audition times are 6-8 pm and Sunday audition times are 4-6 pm. Roles being cast include at least 11 females, age 18+ and 10 males, age 18+.
Many extras are needed as well, and not all roles require singing and dancing.
Actors auditioning are asked to wear comfortable clothing. The director would like people auditioning to read dialogue, and do some easy choreography, and will be finding vocal ranges. Show dates are June 19-20-26-27.
