harmon Darald Dean Harmon, 75 years old, passed away unexpectedly at 8:43 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, in his home.

Born October 20, 1939, in Burrows, he was the son of the late Earl Lewis and Ruby Mabel (Slusser) Harmon. On October 4, 1965, in Logansport, he was married to Patsy M. (Bellanca) Harmon. She preceded him in death April 29, 2006.

A graduate of Camden High School, Darald was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served his country from 1960-1964.

Darald enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He took great pride and pleasure helping others.

In 1998, Darald retired from the Kokomo Transmission plant where he had worked as a foreman for thirty-two years.

He is survived by three children, Casey Harmon,(Carrie) , Ruby Harmon and Danette Gonzales Guiterrez (Argelio), all of Logansport; one stepdaughter Marlene Simpson (Sam) of Walton two sisters, Elizabeth Baker of Indianapolis and June Munson (Ed) of Burrows; five grandchildren Jeanetta Harmon, Bo Ehler, Mark Powell Jr., Cody Powell and Deana Ehler; and five great-grandchildren, Karina, Mark, Brooklyn, Gracie and Laci.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers, four sisters and one grandson, Jimmy Powell.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Darald Dean Harmon will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Pastor Bob Cosby will officiate at the service. The Cass County Honor Guard will present full military honors at the funeral chapel.

Entombment will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
