Rozella Keyes Lapcheska

Rozella Keyes Lapcheska, 86, of Logansport passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Chase Center. Born on July 18, 1928 in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Steinbaugh) Stubley.

She was a Frankfort High School graduate.

Rozella was the Children’s Librarian at the Logansport Public Library for over 20 years.

Her love of Christ and her family were known by anyone she met. Rozella was an avid reader, and loved sewing for family and friends. She had a passion for working with children at both the library and church. Her enjoyment and notoriety came from creating craft designs and puppet characters to enhance her storytelling.

Survivors include her daughters, Claudia Darnell (Donald) of Leawood, Kansas and Jan Shaver of Logansport, step sons, Bill Lapcheska (Susie) of Lafayette and Rick Lapcheska (Jeannie) of Sharpsville, sister, Joanna Horton of Daytona Beach, Florida, and grandchildren, Rachelle Henderson, Michael Sears, Clinton Sears, Alicia Keyes, Allison Lapcheska, Matt Lapcheska, Stephanie Lapcheska, Laura Lapcheska, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lapcheska, son, Dan Keyes and sisters, Inez Cornelison and Anita Buford.

A Celebration of Rozella’s Life will be held in the spring.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
