Carol L. Oldham

oldhamCarol L. Oldham, 84, of Logansport, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born July 9, 1930, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Lowell W. and Merle Irene (McCoy) Ellenwood.

On February 14, 1953, in Fort Wayne, she was married to Kenneth I. Oldham. He preceded her in death October 18, 2000. On May 5, 2001, she was married to Robert E. Oldham, who survives.

Mrs. Oldham was a graduate of Fort Wayne Central High School. She attended Ball State University and graduated from the Ball Memorial School of Nursing in Muncie.

A registered nurse, Mrs. Oldham retired from Memorial Hospital in 1993 where she had worked as a nurse manager for 24 years. She had also worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital for 1 1/2 years, the Logansport State Hospital 2 1/2 years and as a substitute school nurse for Logansport, Pioneer and Rochester school corporations.

Mrs. Oldham was a member of the River of Life Christian Church. Carol also enjoyed swimming, reading, dancing and walking. She loved her church and her family.

Also surviving are three sons: Gregory Oldham (wife Cynthia) of Houston, Texas, Douglas A. Oldham (Diana Bagley) of Logansport and Christopher L. Oldham (wife Conni) of Royal Center; one daughter Kimberly A. Osbon (Mark Herrold) of Grass Creek; two stepsons: Mark Oldham of Orange, Texas and Bobby Oldham (Kay) of New Braunfels, Texas; six grandchildren: Aryn Oldham, Jack Oldham, Jena Steele (Eric), Kristen Kile (Kevin), Derek Oldham and Haley Oldham; five great-grandchildren: Ayla, Brooklyn, Monroe, Savannah and Charlie; fourteen step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren,

One brother, Robert L. Ellenwood; her in-laws, Russell and Edna Oldham; and one stepdaughter Kristi Blanchard preceded her in death.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Carol Oldham will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 in the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Christian Church and the American Cancer Society.
