Leanne (Scagnoli) Spencer

spencerLeanne (Scagnoli) Spencer, 52, of Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at her home.

Born on January 15, 1963, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Frank and Kay (Doran) Scagnoli, who survive in Logansport.

On July 21, 1984 in Logansport, she was married Brian Spencer, who survives.

A graduate of Pioneer High School, Leanne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. She continued her education and graduated from Saint Mary-of-the -Woods College in Terre Haute earning a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership.

Leanne was an Associate Director of Administration and Conferences at Purdue University. Prior to her time at Purdue, she served as Dean of Students at Harrison College.

Leanne loved traveling, music, and her work, but most of all – she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a ten year 4-H member.

Surviving with her husband and parents are her two children: Austin and Anna, who reside at home; one sister Rita Moffitt (Kevin Giddens) of Flora; and her mother-in-law, Nancy Spencer of Logansport.

Leanne was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gary Spencer.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3610 S 18th Street in Lafayette.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Fisher Funeral Chapel in Logansport with Pastor Scott Mann officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday in the Logansport chapel.

Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Memorials may be directed to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, with envelopes available at the church and funeral chapel.

Arrangements have entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel in Lafayette and Logansport.
