sylvesterMary Lee Sylvester, 79, of Logansport, passed away in her residence at 6:45 pm Friday April 17, 2015.

Born September 5, 1935 in Fulton County IN to the late Elmer and Florence “Hay” Curry. On August 22, 1954 in Lucerne, IN she married Jim Sylvester who survives.

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cass County Extension Homemakers and Valley Fellowship Church. She enjoyed crafts, baking, crosswords and word search books.

Other survivors include two sons, Daniel L. (Lori) Sylvester, Walton; David A. and Life Partner Tony Menchaca, Logansport; one daughter, Deanna J. Stuart, Peru; three sisters, Norma (James) Harrison, Daytona Beach, FL; Beverly (Bill) Weaver, Royal Center; Bette Chambers, Wabash; one brother, Larry (Nancy) Curry, Logansport; one sister in law, Lucy Curry, Huntington Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Eric (Lena) Sylvester; Alyson (Brian) Tucker; DeAnna LeNeave; nine great grandchildren.

One brother, Donald Curry, preceded in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April22, 2015 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Zane Hanna officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Valley Fellowship Church.
