SpitznogleObitPhotoRuth Alice Spitznogle, age 92, Logansport, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at McKinney Place, where she had resided since March of 2013.

Born January 19, 1923, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Charles S. and Edna White Stewart.

On November 15, 1945, in Logansport, she was married to James F. Spitznogle, who preceded her in death on February 23, 1976.

Ruth Alice was a 1942 graduate of Washington Township High School. She was a meticulous housekeeper who enjoyed being outside, gardening and planting different kinds of flowers. Most especially she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Larry (Laura) Spitznogle, Logansport; sister, Lucille Shaff, Logansport; grandchildren, Brian Spitznogle, Delphi and Michelle (Brennan) Burke, Lafayette; great granchildren, Alexis Spitznogle, Cole Spitznogle, Abigail Spitznogle, Isabel Burke; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, James J. Spitznogle, sister, Dorothy Haskett and a brother, William Stewart, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home.The Scriptural Wake Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael McKinney officiating.

Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
