Barbara J. Engle, 74, of Kewanna passed away at 1:52 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
Born on August 25, 1940 in Lebanon, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Anna Koopman.
She was the 1958 Valedictorian at Pittsboro High School.
On May 15, 1982 she married Robert C. Engle in Brownsburg, Indiana.
Barbara was formerly employed as the Head Underwriter at American States Insurance Company in Indianapolis for 20 years.
Barbara was a Follower and Believer of the Worldwide Church of God Seventh Day and she enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers.
Survivors include her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Engle of Kewanna, brother, Norman Koopman (Mildred) of Pittsboro and nieces and nephews, Tina Koopman, Robin and Jim Woodburn, Tom and Jackie Foust, Penny Keyser, Nancy Ewing, Cindy and Rick Eastwood, Sue and Ken Hamman, Larry and Joyce Donathen and Jon and Diana Donathen. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Lizton K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.
