On a late summer evening, Cass County residents were among those who paid tribute as Staff Sgt. Andrew Budd, 27, of Winamac was escorted home by members of the Indiana State Police, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, and the Indiana Patriot Guard. Following a transfer ceremony at the Indianapolis Airport, the procession traveled along I-465 to US 31 and along US 35 to Winamac. He was serving the US Army at Fort Bliss in Texas and passed away Sunday. A complete obituary is available here.
