John D. “Doug” Magee, 73, Logansport, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 15, 2015.
Born August 25, 1942 in Cass County, he was the son to the late John and Ruth (Guy) Magee.
John worked in management for a sales company in Ft. Myers, Florida. He attended Burnettsville High School. Doug enjoyed being outside. He loved fishing, cutting down trees and splitting wood. One of his all time favorite things to do was to spend time with family and enjoying dinner with them, however there was speculation that he may have enjoyed the food, more than his family.
Surviving are four daughters, Jeanette (John) Holle, Logansport; Janet (Dale) Westcott, Canton, GA; Julie Bender, Logansport; Judy Kelley, Delphi, IN; five grandchildren, Ashley Bender, Logansport; Andrew Brubaker, Muncie, IN; Zachary (Abby) Brubaker, Witchita, KS; Douglas Bender, Huntington, IN; Ryan Westcott, Canton, GA; two sisters, Phyllis Mathis, Grenada, MS; Mary Carlson, Logansport; and one brother, Dale (Kay) Magee, Royal Center, IN.
One sisters preceded in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM, Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Gross Officiating.
Visiting hours will be from 4:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
