Mary K. Myers

myersMary K. Myers 86, Royal Center passed peacefully at 8:45p.m. Thursday March 24th, 2016 at Bayside Regional Hospital in Venice, Florida.

Born on February 24, 1930, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Elmer and Catherine Marie Rombold Hall.  She was married to Frank Eugene Myers on November 20, 1949 in Logansport.  She and Frank had been married for s60 years at the time of his death in January of 2010.

Mary was a member of the 1949 graduating class at Logansport, HS.  In addition to being a farm wife and mother to their four daughters, she worked in retail, particularly enjoying her time working at Plotner’s Shoe Tree.  She was an active member of Psi Iota Xi for over 20 years and served on the Four County Mental Health board for a number of years.    She enjoyed being around people, volunteering through various organizations up until a week prior to her death.   She and Frank were recognized as Cass County Good Neighbors and she was a member of Shiloh Church.

Surviving are daughters Rebecca Crane and husband David of Thomasville, GA, Jan Ford and husband Paul of Venice , FL, and Marilu Gardner and her husband Jeff of Saint Mary’s, OH.  Grandchildren, Jamie, Lee, and Michael Jones, Jeff Ford and his wife Kristie Campana, Allison Ford Antonacci and husband Tom, Jacob and Ben Crane. Great grandchildren Adriana Marie and Joseph James Antonacci and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Fred L. Hall, her daughter Tamzen K. Myers, and grandson Christopher Frank Crane.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday March 30, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tim McKaig & Pastor Richard Utterback officiating. Burial will be in the Kistler Cemetery near Royal Center.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Tuesday at the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Community Foundation Tamzen Myers Scholarship Fund or to Four County Mental Health.
