Cass County’s Vote Centers will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Cass County Government Building will also be open for voting Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Vote Centers will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Vote Center locations include the Logansport Mall, the Senior Center, the Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds, the Galveston Community Center, the Walton Fire Station, the Royal Center Town Hall, and on Election Day only, the Twelve Mile Fire Station.

On Thursday, April 28, the Purdue Concert Band will join the Logansport HS Berry Band for a Grand Finale Purdue Partners Concert in the Berry Bowl. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for kids.

On Thursday, the Cass County Recycling District will hold a Community Shred Day.

Saturday is Logan’s Landing’s annual Downtown Green & Clean Day. Volunteers are invited to help spruce up the downtown district from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Logansport Street Department is planning a “clean sweep” of the downtown business district on Monday. Businesses are encouraged to clean sweep winter dirt and sand residue from sidewalks into the street curbside. The Street sweeper will run early Monday morning. In case of rain, the sweeper will run the first day weather permits.

And, in a partnership between the City of Logansport’s Code Enforcement Office and Logan’s Landing, this weekend only, citizens can dispose of unwanted items from garages, sheds, attics and basements at no cost. 3 large dumpsters will be placed in the parking lot just west of the Depot at 4th and Melbourne. Furniture, building materials and mattresses can be placed in the dumpsters and no $1 stickers will be required. No electronics, yard waste, tires or items containing freon can be placed in the dumpsters, which will be removed on Monday.

Head Start will be taking applications for their preschool program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the Head Start Center located at 600 Regency Place, off of Chase Road.

The Caston Drama Club presents “Empowered” – a comedy, on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students.

Camelot Care Center will host a benefit pancake breakfast Saturday morning at Walton Christian Church.

A Spring Rummage and Bake Sale is scheduled Saturday morning at Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church.

The Royal Center Fire Department will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast Saturday morning.

Twin Rivers Blue Star Mothers of Indiana will be hosting a drive at Wal-Mart Saturday  to send supplies to troops overseas.

Saturday is Health Kids Day at the Cass County YMCA.

Mary Max Cinemas will host a Lights Up Sound Down showing of The Jungle Book, sponsored by Logan Austim Learning Center on Saturday morning.

Petsense will have their Spring Adoptathon Saturday, April 30.

Boy Scout Troop 224 will hold a Food Drive at the Royal Center United Methodist Church Family Life Center Saturday.

Cross Wind United Methodist Church Campers will have a Dan’s Fish Fry Saturday evening.

And, on Saturday night, Pioneer High School will raise money for Riley Children’s Hospital during a Dance Marathon that’s open to the community.

All Saints Catholic Church will hold their Spring Carnival – Kermes on Sunday.

Junior Civic Theater will hold auditions for their summer musical, Mary Poppins on Sunday and Monday at McHale Performing Arts Center.
