Photos of Hoosier Homestead Award farms sought for 2016 Cass County Fair

bicentennialThe Cass County 4-H Association is seeking photographs of Cass County farms and/or farm families that have been recipients of the Hoosier Homestead Award.  In honor of Indiana’s rich agricultural heritage, the Hoosier Homestead Award Program recognizes families with farms that have been owned by the same family for 100 years or more.  The photographs will be copied and used in the Cass County 4-H Fair Bicentennial Commission Endorsed Legacy Project celebrating the history of Cass County Agriculture and displayed throughout the 2016 fair week.  Photographs can be submitted to the Cass County Extension Office located on the third floor of the Government Building.  It is encouraged that each Homestead submit a variety of photographs of their farm.  All photographs must be submitted by July 1st.  Please contact Purdue Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator, Krista Pullen at 574-753-7750 or by email  if you have any questions.
