According to Indiana Gateway, beginning with 2016 budgets, local governments were no longer REQUIRED to publish budget notices in a newspaper. They ARE required to be posted online at BudgetNotices.In.Gov.
You can view proposed budget and property tax levy notices and public hearing information for all units in Cass County here. This information affects property tax rates.

In an effort to make this information more accessible, we’ll also be posting the dates of budget hearings, along with links to budget notices, below. This post will be updated.
The TAX LEVY is the amount of property tax dollars a local government is allowed by law to collect.
The TAX RATE (how much a property taxpayer will pay per $100 of net assessed value) is calculated by dividing the unit’s levy by its net assessed value.
