Last Updated on August 23, 2016 by cassnetwork

Logansport High School football fans will be able to take advantage of free transportation to the Berries’ home opener with Frankfort.

Cass Area Transit will be providing the “Felix Express” shuttle from four locations throughout the city to LHS Stadium.

Mayor Dave Kitchell says the shuttle is part of the city’s contract with CAT.

The blue-and- gray bus schedule for the entire home season:

5:30 p.m. – Fairview Park

5:45 p.m. – Marsh Supermarket on North Third Street

6 p.m. – Marsh on 14th Street

6:15 p.m. – Walmart

6:30 p.m. – LHS Stadium

Following the games, the shuttle will depart the stadium at 8:45 p.m., arriving at Walmart at 9 p.m., the 14 th Street Marsh at 9:15 p.m., the Third Street Marsh at 9:30 p.m. and Fairview at 9:45 p.m.

“This bus service is being provided to make it easier for people throughout the city to attend football games and avoid parking and reduce the traffic around the stadium,” Kitchell says. “This is a great way for senior citizens who don’t want to drive and students who can’t drive to the game to get there and participate in high school sports in our community.”

The Felix Express had a trial run in the spring during baseball season and is expected to be available for Logansport basketball season in November.
