A Logansport native who is employed with Braun Corporation will be joining the board that approves Tax Increment Financing spending in the city.

The Logansport City Council Monday night unanimously approved the appointment of Jill Appollonio Jeroski to the Logansport Redevelopment Commission.

Jeroski is employed in the Braun financing division in Lafayette.

She replaces Vicki Byrd who resigned last month.

Jeroski is a Logansport High School graduate who has been active in the community, particularly in Junior Civic Theater.

“Jill is a community-minded person and I know she’ll be an asset to the commission,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said Friday. “Her corporate experience is a strength, and I think the fact that she’s willing to take time away from her full-time job in Lafayette to attend meetings to promote economic development here speaks volumes about her commitment to the city and its people.”

The mayor also acknowledged the contributions Byrd made to the commission and the city.

“Vicki is uniquely qualified for so many things because of her background in workforce development, health care and community involvement. She will serve in other capacities in the future and we were fortunate to have her as a commission member.”
