Logansport Police make arrest following BB gun incident

At 10:15 .p.m. on Aug. 8, 2016, Logansport Police Officers were sent to 114 15th St. in Logansport in reference to a person that had been shot. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim, William L. Bodell, 69, on the front porch of the residence.

He had suffered several shots from what officers later found out to be a BB gun.

Bodell was transported from the scene to Logansport Memorial Hospital helipad, then airlifted to Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he is listed in critical condition.

At 10:10 a.m. on August 9, Logansport Police Department arrested Trevor Miller, 23, of Logansport. He is charged with aggravated battery, level 3 felony, and is currently being held in the Cass County Jail.

Logansport Police Department was assisted by the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and Prompt Ambulance.
