Four members of the Cass County Clays Trapshooting Team, from the Cass County Izaak Walton League, placed on the Indiana Scholastic Clay Target Program (ISCTP) All-State Trap Team.

Jake Kelley and Benjamin Chambers are current Logansport High School students.  Marla Spencer is a 2016 graduate of Logansport High School.  Rhett Wierenga shoots for Cass County Clays, and attends Harrison High School.

In determining the 2016 All‐State Trap Shooting team, Indiana SCTP totaled an athletes target scores  from the Hoosier Clay Target Association Trap Shooting Conference, the Indiana  SCTP State Championship as well as the SCTP National Championship. In 2016, Indiana added an 8‐week skeet conference schedule to an already  successful trap conference. Each week the teams competed head to head against  different opponents from across the state much like our football conferences. With  this great addition to youth shooting sports in Indiana, Indiana SCTP has steadily  increased the number of “youth only” competition targets. In 2013 there were  19,000 of these targets thrown and in 2016 we threw over 275,000 “youth only”  competition targets. Members of the 2016 SCTP All‐State Trap Shooting Team will receive a  commemorative patch for their shooting vest as well as a custom designed shirt so  that they can display their accomplishment. Members selected to 2nd Team All‐State  and Honorable Mention All‐State will receive a commemorative certificate to honor  their accomplishments.

The scores listed are out of a possible 650 competition targets for the entire 2016  season.
