The public is invited to the Cass County Community Foundation’s “Thanks for Giving” Donor & Volunteer Recognition Event, Sunday November 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Desserts First, 516 E. Broadway in Logansport.
Live music will be provided by Ned Boyd, and there will be hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The 2016 Richard Cassidy, Jr. “Thanks for Giving” Award will be presented to Judge Julian and Dr. Susanne Ridlen, in honor of their outstanding contributions to youth, education, history and community volunteerism. Previous winners of the award include Bill Fouts, Dick Rusk, Mike McCord, Richard Scott, George Stephenson, Phyllis Kingery, Jane Miller, Ted Blank, Laura Cain, and the original 1993 CCCF Board of Directors.
During the event CCCF will also be awarding 16 community charity grants of $1,000 each to Cass County charities entered in a drawing to celebrate the Ridlens. Anyone in the community can enter their favorite local charity by completing the form from CCCF’s newspaper ad and sending it to CCCF. Forms are also available at the Community Foundation office, 729 E. Market St, or you can download a PDF of the form here.
You need not be present for your entry to receive a grant.
