bicentennialOne of Logansport’s All-State Choir members has been named the Logansport Bicentennial Citizen of the Week.

Ali Williams, a senior at LHS, is a vocalist who has performed the national anthem at local sporting events. She has toured with the Logansport Children’s Choir and been active in 4-H. She recently concluded her career with the LHS girls golf team.

Ali is among many local students who are active in a variety of things, but still find time to be active in the community, Mayor Dave Kitchell said today.

“It’s a tribute to our community that so many musicians have participated in the Indiana All-State Choir, and one of the side benefits of that is that sends a message to the state that our music departments in Logansport continue to produce some of the best musicians and vocalists in Indiana.”

The award is presented throughout Indiana’s bicentennial year to recognize local natives or residents who have been recognized statewide or nationwide for their contributions.

Ali will receive an Indiana state flag and a certificate from Mayor Kitchell.
