Everett Lee Hinkle

hinkleEverett Lee Hinkle, 92,  Logansport, passed away at 12:56 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2016, in his home.

Born  March 26, 1924, in Deer Creek Township, Cass County, he was the son of the late Otto and Clara Estella (Plank) Hinkle .

On November 24, 1946, he was married to Patricia S. (Henry) Hinkle, who survives.  The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary the day before his death.

Everett was retired from Logansport Metal Culvert, where he worked for 46 years as a truck driver.

Surviving with his wife are five children: Judy Rolewicz, Karen Martin,  Lois Fowler,  William  “Buster” (Amy) Hinkle and Rena (Keith) Kottkamp, all of Logansport; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sons-in-law, Allen “Roscoe” Fowler, Mikey Landis, Larry Martin and Richard Rolewicz; two grandsons, Kevin Gaby and Chris Fowler; one granddaughter Jenny Lynn Hinkle; five brothers, Arthur, Harold, Kenneth, Keith and Ray Hinkle; and five sisters, Leona “Peg” Patterson, Estaline Keplar, Geneva Griest, Donnabelle Harvey and Nancy Kunkle.

Family and friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov 28 in the Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Everett Hinkle will be held at 11 a.m. Tueday, Nov. 29 in the funeral chapel with Chaplain Larry Phillips officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
