Lois M. Felder Wilson

lwilsonLois M. Felder Wilson, 96, of Rochester formerly of Kewanna passed away peacefully at 3:40 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016 at Wynnfield Crossing in Rochester.

Born on September 2, 1920 in Kewanna, she was the daughter of the late Clifford E. and Ruby Mae (Troutman) Felder.

Lois was a 1938 Lowell High School graduate and a 1942 graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Social Studies.  While at Ball State she was a member of the Psi Theta Sorority. She also attended Indiana University of South Bend and Goshen College.

On August 8, 1942, she married D. Arthur Wilson and he preceded her August 23, 1989.

She was a school teacher for 29 years, having taught at LaFontaine, Noblesville, Kewanna, Lakeville and Bremen.

Lois was a member of Kewanna United Methodist Church and the UM Women, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Fulton County Retired Teachers Association, AARP and the National Education Association. She was also a former board member of the Kewanna Public Library, former member of Kewanna Mothers Club, the Harvestaires and the Order of Eastern Star, Bremen chapter.

Survivors include her son, Dennis A. Wilson and wife, Susan of Greensburg, daughter, Denilyn Jordan and husband, Jack of Norman, Oklahoma, sister, Jean Babcock of Rensselaer, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services will be private.

Burial will be at Kewanna Citizens IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kewanna United Methodist Church and/or Kindred at Home.
