Commissioners to hold Statehood Day Open House and Dedication Ceremony

The Cass County Board of Commissioners invites the citizens of Cass County to an Open House for their County Government Building Renovation, Sunday December 11, 2016 (STATEHOOD DAY) from 2-4 p.m.
Cass County Commissioners President Jim Sailors will have opening remarks.
As, the board of commissioners has, on behalf of its’ citizens, named the new community room the Bicentennial Room, the Cass County Bicentennial Committee is hosting a public  room dedication at the Cass County Government Building immediately following Commissioner Sailors remarks.Refreshments will be served and County Commissioner Ralph Anderson will offer a few words to dedicate the community room as the new “Bicentennial Room”.  Kelly Mitchell, Indiana State Treasurer, will also participate in the celebration.

The Cass County Government Building is located on 4th Street, between North and Market Streets in downtown Logansport.This event culminates a year long volunteer driven series of events and the state torch relay.

December 11th is the official STATEHOOD DAY celebration through out the state of Indiana, and all are churches are asked to celebrate with song or sermon that morning.
