Joan M. Kistler, 84,of Warren formerly of Royal Center, passed away peacefully at 11:50 p.m., Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Born on October 17, 1932 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine (Hall) Wilson.
Joan retired from the Pioneer High School cafeteria where she was employed for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and most of all spending time with her family.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Logansport.
On May 7, 1950, she married Robert D. Kistler. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2007.
Survivors include her children, Dr. Steven Kistler (Cynthia) of Indianapolis, Jay Kistler (Sandra) of Flora and Janet Goltry (Greg) of Royal Center, sister, Maxine Oswalt of Royal Center, grandchildren, Melissa Ayres (Josh), Kayla Tinsman (Rustin), Sarah Franklin (Lee), Matthew Kistler (Jenny), Jason Kistler (Laura), Austin Goltry (Abigail), Emily Beaver (Jarred), and Jeff Kistler and 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Pointe.
