Bonnie Lou (Haggard) Vore Stratton

Bonnie Lou (Haggard) Vore Stratton, 86 of Logansport passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in her residence.

Born on August 9, 1930 in Logansport, IN, she was the daughter of the late Raymond “Jim” Haggard and Irene Francis Blunk. Bonnie was married to Lloyd Vore who preceded in death in April of 1986. She then married John Stratton in September of 1987; he preceded in death on August 17, 1999.

Bonnie worked in Logansport all her life. At 12 years old she worked in the Made Rite Bakery; at 14 she worked in the Miller’s Dress Shop; at 16 she worked at the H.W. Gossard Company. For 45 years she worked for R.B.M (20 years in coil winding, 25 years in shipping). She retired from there on May 1, 1993.

Bonnie was a Charter Member of the Logansport Niddee Shrine Guild; a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #375, Royal Center; V.F.W. Post 3790 Ladies Aux.; and she was the Imperial Maharanee from 2004-2005 for the Imperial Shrine Guilds of America.

Surviving are two sons, Terry L. (Lillian) Vore, Cebu, Philippines; Michael A. (Roberta) Vore, Noblesville; three daughters, Linda Sue (Jim) Woodruff; Cindy K. (Brad) Deane, both of Logansport; Cheryl Lynne (Earl) Williams, King, NC; her grandchildren, Megan Dickson; Taylor and Melissa Vore; Ben (Mandy) Woodruff; Specialist Matthew Woodruff; 1st Lt. Brent (Jordan) Woodruff; Brett (Kyleigh) Woodruff; Sara Vore; Heather Vore; Shane Laperal; Alan Breeden; Brittany (Nate) Shayne; Reese Williams; great grandchildren; Olivia Woodruff; Emiliann Shayne; Wyatt Shayne; Sloan, Wren, Layne and Wells Dickson; and Emmalyn Woodruff.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

A celebration of life, Eastern Star Service and Niddee Shrine Guild Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, January 23, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Don Cline officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Monday, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Logansport Niddee Shrine Guild.
