Debra Sue Swartz, 58, Logansport, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 14, 2017 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Born October 20, 1958 in Logansport to the late LeRoy W. and Carol Sue “Sherman” Russell. On December 17, 1977 in Logansport, IN she married Scott A. Swartz who survives.
Debra was a lifelong member of Miami Baptist Church and the A.B.W. She loved visiting people and enjoyed talking to everyone, spending time with family and laughing. She didn’t know a stranger. She considered everyone she knew as another family member. Debbie was very optimistic with the world and is now at peace being in the presence of the Lord.
Surviving along with her husband is one daughter, Shanan (Bryan) Pletka, Logansport; one sister, Karen (Tim) Buffum, Logansport; one brother, Tim (Terri) Russell, Logansport; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; mother in law, Donna (Walter) Smith, Walton, IN; sister in law, Nancy Lesley, Peru, IN; and two brother in laws, David (Shawn) Swartz, Walton, IN; Darl (Anna) Swartz, Warrington, PA.
Preceded in death are her mother and father, LeRoy and Carol Russell, brother In law Gregg Swartz and father in law, Clare Swartz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday January 18, 2017 in Gundrum Funeral Home with Dr. Daisok Panmei and Pastor Frankie Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Baptist Cemetery, Logansport, IN.
Visiting hours will be from 3:00pm till 7:00pm Tuesday January 17, 2017 in Gundrum Funeral Home.
