Ivy Tech to offer Microsoft Office training series in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College is offering a Microsoft Office training series starting in February that will offer introductory classes in four popular Microsoft Office 2013 programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

“Many jobs require at least a basic skill level in these Microsoft Office programs,” said Stephanie Reitan of Ivy Tech’s Workforce Alignment staff. “If you want to learn how to use certain programs or are looking to brush up on your skills, our MS Office training series is for you.”

Instructor for the series will be Stefani Butler, founder and managing partner at the plat4m group, a global IT, communications, and change management firm based in Kokomo. She has more than 17 years of experience in human resources and corporate communications, change management, technology, and marketing communications. Before leading the plat4m group, she was a customer success manager for Office 365 and Yammer at Microsoft.

The series includes:

Excel 2013, from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 2 and 3. Cost $160

Word 2013, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 2 and 3. Cost $165

PowerPoint 2013, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 6 and 7. Cost $165

Outlook 2013, from 8 a.m. to noon May 5. Cost $100

Classes will meet at Ivy Tech Kokomo’s Workforce Alignment building at 1701 Touby Pike.
