James “Jim” Daily

James “Jim” Daily, 54, of Royal Center passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 2, 2017 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 26, 1962 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Neil and Sharon (McCombs) Daily.

He was a 1980 Pioneer High School graduate.

On August 6, 1983 he married Paula K. Hardy, she survives.

Jim worked at the Braun Corporation for over 20 years where he was currently the Inventory Parts Manager and he farmed with his cousins during the harvest.
He was a member of the Royal Center United Methodist Church.

Jim volunteered many hours and loved Pioneer Football where he coached the Youth League for 13 seasons and was the videographer for the varsity team for 15 seasons.  He also formerly coached Pioneer Youth League baseball and he loved cutting wood, helping with 4-H, attending Pioneer ballgames and most of all spending time with his family.  Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Paula K. Daily of Royal Center, children, Neil James Daily (Lisa) of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Evan Paul Daily (Susan) of Noblesville, Caleb Ross Daily (Autumn) of Royal Center and Claire Yung Daily of Royal Center, granddaughter, Audree Daily of Royal Center, sisters, Sue Peppers (Bill) of Star City and Diane Brantley (Jason) of Star City, father in law and mother in law, Paul and Kay Hardy of Logansport, sisters in law, Laura Scott (Branden) of Logansport and Pamela Stouder (Brian) of Ft. Wayne and brother in law, Kevin Hardy (Michele) of Walton.

He was also preceded in death by daughter, Marisa Daily.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Royal Center United Methodist Church Family Life Center with Pastor Adriane Curtis officiating.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Royal Center Methodist Church Family Life Center.

Burial will be at Star City West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Claire Daily College Education Fund in c/o Community State Bank.
