Public invited to attend swearing-in ceremony for Indiana governor, state officials

Governor-Elect Eric Holcomb

Eric Holcomb will be sworn in as the 51st governor of Indiana on Monday, January 9.

Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, Attorney General Curtis Hill, Superintendent of Public Instruction Jennifer McCormick and recently appointed Auditor Tera Klutz will also be sworn in.

The swearing-in ceremony at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds is free and open to the public. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the program begins at 11 a.m.  on Monday, January 9. Following the ceremony, there will be an open house at the Statehouse.

The public is also invited to attend an event at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University to shoot hoops with Governor-elect Holcomb and Lt. Governor-elect Crouch on Sunday, January 8 at from 1-2:30 p.m. RSVPs are requested but not required.
