Beverley Sue “Bev” Henry

Last Updated on March 18, 2017 by cassnetwork

Beverley Sue “Bev” Henry, 82, of Royal Center went home to be with her Lord Friday morning, March 17, 2017.

Bev was born on January 22, 1935 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Pauline (Greider) Zeider.

She was a 1953 Lucerne High School graduate.

On October 25, 1953 she married Paul “Hank” Henry, he survives.

Bev worked at Kresge’s, the Pharos Tribune and Wayne Myers Construction/Myers Lanes.  For the last 34 years, Bev was an Avon Rep.  She so much enjoyed visiting with her customers.

Bev loved flowers, working outside, playing solitaire on her tablet and watching Purdue men’s basketball.  She loved her little dog, Sophie.  She especially loved spending time with her family.  She had her walls covered with photographs of her children and grandchildren and cherished phone calls and drop-in visits with them.  She always said her children were her life and always made them feel so loved.  She never hung up or said good bye without saying “I sure do love you” or “I love you, hun”.

Bev was a member of New Life Alliance Church in Logansport and had been a Sunday School teacher when her children were young. She loved the Lord and made sure her children grew up loving the Lord as well.

She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her and her ready smile.  One thing we are assured is the fact that we will see her in Heaven someday and that is our comfort.

Bev is survived by her loving husband, Paul “Hank” Henry, children, Bill Henry (Mary), Cindy Schmaltz (Ed) and Pam Chaffee (Kevin), grandchildren, Joshua Henry (Danielle), Jacob Henry (Jeannine), Nicki Gunter (Shawn), Holly Mize (Steve), Jason Myers (Taneal), Mike Schmaltz (Shannon), Mark Schmaltz (Tammy), CPL Joseph Chaffee, Sara Chaffee, Kathryn Chaffee (fiancé Bannon Young) and Haley Chaffee and great grandchildren, Bryce Gunter, Brandon Mize, Dominick Henry, Asher Henry, Victoria Myers and Dakota Myers.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Zeider and Pauline Dunn, step father, Earl Dunn and sisters, Baby Grace Elaine and Doris Rist.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Scott Halterman and Pastor Richard Utterback officiating.
