JCPenney store in Logansport on list to close

J.C. Penney Company, Inc. announced today that the Logansport store is one of 138 it plans to close.

Most affected stores will begin the liquidation process on April 17. About 5,000 positions nationwide will be impacted by the store closures, most of which will occur in June.

The company says it is in the process of identifying relocation opportunities within the Company for esteemed leaders and will provide outplacement support services for eligible associates who will be leaving the company.

The other Indiana stores include FairOaks Mall in Columbus, Connersville Plaza in Connersville, Huntington Plaza in Huntington and Jasper Manor Center in Jasper.
