New Trine University Master of Science in Leadership program offers convenience, value to students

ANGOLA, Ind. — Trine University will offer its Lou Holtz Master of Science in Leadership degree in a more flexible, affordable format beginning with the fall 2017 semester.

The new MSL is the first program offering in the new Trine Flex format, which provides a convenient path to a master’s degree for adult learners.

Trine Flex allows students to complete their MSL degree entirely online, allowing them to work at their own pace while supported by Trine faculty and staff. The format also features a lower cost than traditional, seated classes, allowing graduates to finish their degree with a total cost of less than $10,000.

“We recognize that between work, family and community commitments, many adults struggle to find the time to travel to campus and participate in a classroom setting,” said Nancy Steigmeyer, senior program director for the graduate school at Trine University. “Trine Flex gives them the opportunity to complete their MSL according to their own schedule while still receiving a quality Trine University education delivered online, at a significant cost savings. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Designed for working professionals, the MSL develops the theoretical and applied leadership knowledge, capabilities and characteristics needed to positively impact organizations across multiple sectors, including business, engineering, arts and science. Students can relate their background leadership experiences to what they are learning, and put the knowledge they gain from classes into practice in their professional careers.
